Santa's Village

I found this amazing website and was so excited. I started to plan my next vacation. I was going to go visit my brother and sister, see the Red Wood Forest and stop by and see Santa at one of his Villages in California. BUT sadly I found out that Santa had closed these magical places years ago. I am quite devastated; who among us would not want to go to Santa's Village? OH the sad sad agony!

At some point these magical places had really been a family favorite event. The Villages turned into parks with rides and other magical places to explore. Even the Easter Bunny had a vacation home there!

There were places to shop, beloved characters to meet and rides to loose your lunch on!
Where did the magic go!?

Ooohh I would love Santa's village ! It's very very sweet ! What funny coincidence ! I wrote a post this morning concerning a banana slug visiting me from California :)
I love the mushrooms, the little houses, the colors...

That is sad. The place looked cool! If I lived close I would have taken my children!

I used to live in the same area as that park. It closed oh, so many years ago but they left the signs up forever.
It does look so magical, so sad when those things disappear.
Thanks for posting about Santa's Village, makes me think of home.

Hi Chelsea, Thanks for the memories! I had Story Book Land just like this in my childhood. It didn't take much to excite children back then. You have to go back and read the post above the picture, then you will understand why we aren't smiling! Thanks for the visit! E

I remember Santa's Village!! when I was about 5 my family and I went to this Village! I still have the pictures some where! There was also a Santa's Village here in Southern California that got snow every year! Sadly this Santa's Village also closed down. I took my oldest to Santa's Village when he was 5 also!
Thank you for the memories!
