Sun Shine & ...

The sun came out today! Yeah! If your not in the loop... Portland hasn't seen the sun much this year. However, I have spent the entire day inside, crazy I know but I have gotten a lot of house work done. I even cleaned out my closet! Woowhooo! Jim is out of town tonight. Seems like the new job is going to be keeping him out and about quite a bit more than I would like, but he is supper happy-which makes me happy too! Anthropologi called today! They want me to call them for references for a sales position. I have such mixed feelings though... One part of me is excited and knows that it could lead to a dream job in visual merchandising. While on the other hand, I can't stand the idea of working 6 days a week! I really want to stay at my current job so five to six days would become a norm. I was just telling myself the other day that I need to buckle down and explore my creative side. I know there is a creative genius inside of me just waiting to be released. I would love to work for myself doing things I love. The only one holding me back is me! I know that... but grrrrrr its so hard balancing my adult life with my inner creative child.  Jim is supper supportive of whatever road I take which is amazing. I can't believe how lucky I am to have him. Each day he surprises me with just how much he loves and believes in me.

Now that the sun is back (hopefully to stay!!!) I am able to take better pictures. Here are some pics of my fireplace with a new coat of paint and new nic nacs with summer in mind.

What a beautiful fireplace! I love that it has little window's either side too! Go for it with the job! Until you have a written offer there's no choice to make anyway! And if you earn a little bit more you can put it aside from day one to fund your dream maybe sooner than you think! Be happy! Have you looked at sugar and meringue's blog? I have a link to her on my blog - she's about to give up the day job and it makes really inspiring reading! xx

I was in visual merchandising for a while. I worked for a few boring major department stores, and while I loved what I did, the times I had to work sucked! Sunday mornings, Friday evenings... Had to set up for big sales and events. It was fun, and I got the best deals ever!
